NRT Music welcomes Christian R&B and Hip-Hop artist Desi Raines to its growing roster with the release of his label debut, “1Note,” available today on all major digital platforms.

Originally from Atlanta and now based in Dallas, Raines brings years of songwriting, worship ministry, and touring experience into a new season focused on sharing his own music. His background includes writing and performing with North Point Worship and FRVR FREE, along with touring as a background vocalist for Crowder. Those experiences helped shape an artist committed to honest storytelling, soulful melodies, and gospel-centered music that connects faith with everyday life.

“1Note” brings that vision to life through an inventive format. What began as a studio challenge celebrating producer Tyler Moody’s 1,000th beat became one of Raines’ most personal releases. The pair set out to answer a simple question: How many songs could they create using a single note?

The answer became a continuous six-and-a-half-minute track. “1Note” features five interconnected movements exploring different aspects of Raines’ relationship with God. Reverence, victory, vulnerability, surrender, and choosing God’s presence over recognition come together to form one cohesive spiritual journey.

“It’s really an EP disguised as one song,” Raines explains. “I wanted people to sit with it and metabolize the music as a complete experience instead of consuming it one track at a time.”

Inspired by the experience of listening to vinyl records and cassette tapes, Raines intentionally designed “1Note” to be heard from beginning to end. Each section builds naturally into the next, inviting listeners to slow down and experience the full progression rather than skipping between individual songs.

The project captures a defining moment in Raines’ walk with God. Its lyrics move between worshipful declarations, reflections on personal growth, and an honest commitment to follow the Lord above every other ambition. The result is a deeply personal release grounded in the conviction that God remains constant through every changing season.

“1Note” marks the beginning of Raines’ partnership with NRT Music and introduces a distinctive creative voice to the label’s expanding family of Christian artists. An upcoming Christian season and new music in early 2027 are already in the works.
