The Chosen Season Six is coming soon, and as previously shared, a new album from 5&2 Studios and Capitol Christian Music Group will arrive this fall featuring original music inspired by the series so far – a soundtrack for fans catching up on Seasons One through Five. 

Announced during Sunday night’s livestream with The Chosen’s creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins, Jamie MacDonald’s track “Roots” is out today. The track follows the August 7 release of “All I Need Is You” by multi-platinum country hitmaker Tyler Hubbard, his second-biggest single debut of 2026 so far. The full artist lineup will be revealed in the weeks ahead, with new songs from artists arriving each month ahead of the album this fall. Every song on the album traces back to themes and moments from the series.

“For me, “Roots” is a song about standing strong no matter what comes against you. Written out of Psalm 1, about the tree planted by streams of water, it’s a reminder that even as the winds may blow and the floods rise, I’m safe because my roots run deep and my home isn’t in this world. The more I sing it, the more it feels like the disciples’ story, and really, all of our stories — those intimate moments with Jesus that give us the strength to overcome adversity and give all of us the courage to say yes to following Him no matter what.
