There’s something pretty cool about hearing an artist talk about a song they wrote years ago and knowing it still holds up for them.
That’s exactly how Tyler Hubbard feels about a No. 1 single for Jason Aldean that he helped write, alongside Brian Kelley, Morgan Wallen, and Jordan Schmidt.
Tyler Hubbard Says This Jason Aldean Song Is His Favorite He’s Ever Written
Hubbard was hanging out on Taste of Country Nights, where I asked him what his favorite song of his is that he’s written, but not sung on, that he still loves to hear on the radio.
Hubbard said, “I really like ‘You Make It Easy,’ the Aldean single. I thought that was a really cool one and I still hear it and it never gets old, so that would be my choice.”
I think that’s a pretty strong endorsement, especially considering how many songs Hubbard has been involved with throughout his career.
What stands out to me is that he didn’t pick the song because it was necessarily the biggest hit or because it was the most successful song he’s written. He picked it because he genuinely thinks it’s cool — and because, years later, he can still hear it and not get tired of it.
That’s probably one of the best compliments a songwriter can give a song.

Even with all of those hits that are listed above, when Hubbard looks back at everything he’s been part of, Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” is the one that continues to stand out, and honestly, if you’ve ever heard that song come on the radio, it’s pretty easy to understand why.
Aldean paid $4.1 million for the new 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom, 4,452-square-foot beach house. The spectacular property affords the singer and his family the opportunity to walk out their back door and down a bridge to their own private beach, and the exterior of the villa features a courtyard with iron gates that includes gas lanterns, a swimming pool and a fountain.
The home’s interior includes a downstairs with an open floorplan and oversized windows, chiseled stone floors, a gourmet kitchen, a bedroom and study and a fireplace, with coffered ceilings throughout. The upstairs of the home includes two separate master bedrooms that both overlook the Gulf, as well as two more bedrooms that each have their own attached bathrooms.
The stunning home is also set for whatever weather might blow in from the Gulf. Built in 2005, the house features all-impact windows and doors, as well as Geo-Thermal heating and cooling, cellulose insulation, foam ceiling and floor insulation and more.
